Annual
Baseball Show
This year, the Annual Baseball Show makes its debut as a 2 hour podcast. I’ve been putting together a yearly baseball radio show since April of 1993 and the tradition continues.
Over this podcast you’ll hear the greatest baseball songs ever recorded highlighting the game’s top players and teams. My team vignettes include The Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs, Dodgers, Giants, St. Louis Browns and more. The show also features some of the great historical baseball moments of the past 100 years.
Then, near the end of the program, I’ll ask you to vote for your favorite version of “Did You See Jackie Robinson Hit That Ball.” Dig the show and then vote below.
May your team go all the way this year!

Hi, Matt: Interesting cat fight for the next 2 weeks; also the Harlem baseball show. Hope you and Kelly have a wonderful trip, as you certainly deserve a break after everything that’s happened with XM, etc. Will miss you next week, but stay safe and come back to us on the 17.
Great Show Matt….boy does all bring back the memories…..
THANKS…for being YOU.

I am listening to the BASEBALL show while at one of my clients. Matt it is veyond FANTASTIC! You MUST get back on air someplace. I wish I had a station because I’d put you on without a 2nd thought.
You are in my prayers buddy.
Keep it up….
PS: If I were to produce some short vignettes (I call them “Beyond the music”) would you give them a listen. Just an idea I am working on now but may try to put a few together…

I really saw Jackie hit the ball at Ebbets Field and met him in a Chock Full Of Nuts restaurant while i was having a raisin bread with cream cheese and a delicious cup of coffee about 1965 !! This is my comment about this Fri. night Cat fight show A Grand Slam as usual Matt !! Go Yankees !! Go Mets and only for beautiful Matt and his Kelly Go Red Sox !! Yum Yum
Yo Matt The Baseball special was an absolute out of the park grand slam. What a great baseball history lesson, with all the cool historic clips, and songs. I flat out loved it, and told everybody I know, who’s a baseball fan, to check it out.
I wish I could say, go Red Sox, but being a die hard White Sox fan, I’m sure you understand why that’s not possible. Hope you and Kelly enjoy your trip. We’ll miss you, but will be looking forward to the next cat fight show. Keep up the great work. You’re the best.
The Harlem Baseball Show/Friday Night Cat Fight Baseball Edition is a definite Grand Slam. Absolutely love it. Here’s hoping you and Kelly are having a fantastic vacation and looking forward to the next Friday Night Cat Fight when you return.
Holy Cow!!!!! Go Crazy Folks, Go Crazy!!!!!
I can almost see Joe Torre out there….not to mention Keith Hernandez, Ozzie, Jack Clark & Whitey Herzog. I saw Stan on opening day…..age is a b*tch but he’ll always be ‘The Man.’ Thanks Matt for the memories.
Thanks for all your work, again, Matt. I’m surprised this cat fight is so close (at this writing). Buddy (who?… no, not Mickey Who, Buddy who?) blew the mighty Count away, surprisingly, IMO.
I’d forgotten that Tony Conigliaro made some records, and they were minor hits in the Boston area, anyway. But “Playing The Field” would have been dated and derivative in 1962. For a 1969 record, when even psychedelia was going, going, gone, PTF was pure cheese. What a hoot. Poor Tony. He didn’t get a lot of breaks after 1967.
