We’re celebrating the beginning of a new season with this week’s Friday Night Cat Fight.  The theme this week is “Spring”.  Since this season brings that rain that makes the flowers grow, this week’s Cat Fight will be over the song “Walking In The Rain.”  Listen to the podcast, which contains both versions of the song and then vote below for the one you dig the most.

    Another great show. Thanks, Matt. Man, that Gilberto/Getz “Might As Well Be Spring”… laid-back sizzle, making every note count… 2Cool… I think I’m in love.

    Finally a no-brainer for me on the Cat Fight, as The Ronettes stomp the stuffing out of Jay & The Americans, record sales or no record sales.

    Great song both ways, but I had to go with the Ronettes, along with most voters so far. I love everything they did, and always look forward to Friday, both for the cat fight and for any part of a night prowl show that someone has recorded for posterity. Thanks to Judy and also to our furry leader, once again!

    Great Cat Fight. For me it was pretty much a no-brainer. Ronnie and the Ronettes own “Walkin’ In The Rain”. lol. Jay and The Americans do a good job, but The Ronettes definitely nail it. I also especially liked two other songs during the show: “Boston Common” by the Latterday Pendulum and ” I Live In The Springtime” by The Lemon Drops. I had never heard either one of those songs but absolutely loved them both. Keep up the great work.

    As far as the Cat Fight goes, the Ronnetts really sang it from the heart. Jay & The Americans version is just to orchestrated for me.

    That sure was a gret cat fight show this week. I really enjoy the cat fights, and I really loved the Latter day pendulum, with Boston Common, and the Lemon drops tune, I live in the spring. I’d sure love to find those tunes.
    I have to go with the Ronnettes on this one. Both were good, but the Ronnettes version really hit it. Especially with the thunderstorm effect.Thanks for the great shows. Keep up the good work. YOU DA TOP CAT.

    Phil Spector’s wife and his sister-in-laws or should i say his ex wife and ex sister in laws!!! Not that anyone asked but my favorite spring song is Springtime For Hitler from The Producers Yum Yum !! Still missing you Matt and The Night Prowl Show instead of bailing out AIG bail out Matt The Cat !!!!
