H-Bomb Ferguson Dies at 77
On Sunday, November 26th, we lost one of the great unsung blues shouters when Robert "H-Bomb" Ferguson died at the age of 77. He died at Hospice of Cincinnati of complications from emphysema and cardiopulmonary disease. He made his best records for the NJ-based Savoy label during the early 1950s. He had a classic blue shouting style, similar to Wynonie "Mr. Blues" Harris and he will be greatly missed.
